Open-space design apartment in a historic farmhouse

Situated in a historic farmhouse under urban heritage protection, this truly unique building - characterised by its uneven walls and doors, its graceful vaults, arcs and passages - has been shaped and reshaped again throughout the centuries. The farmhouse was uninhabited for nearly thirty years before we started a very thorough renovation in 2018. We have done everything possible to preserve the invaluable historic substance. Set in a stark contrast with the historic building we have furnished the apartment with the modern, contemporary furniture of the interior design wizards from Lago.Design.

Thunish Apartment 5 is a spacious loft on the attic floor of the historic farmhouse, composed of three rooms. Through the entrance door, you access the extensive living area. Dark brown wooden beams give this rooms a very special framing and at the same time serve as dividing elements. The beams divide the white kitchen block from the living area with its big dining table, a sofa and a lounge space. Walking through a door in the glass facade, you can access a wooden balcony with superb views over the village and the surrounding mountains. To the left side of the entrance, you access the bedroom and the adjoining bathroom, furnished with Italian marble Pietra Piasentina, which literally means "a stone that pleases the eye”. We think it’s a name well deserved.

ACCESS TO GARDEN

ACCESS & ARRIVAL INFO

On the day of your arrival you will be able to check-in to your apartment independently. You will be provided with very detailed arrival and check-in instructions.

The main door can be opened with a pin code and enter into the shared foyer on the first floor. There are a total of five vacation rental apartments in the building. Apartment 1 and 2 are on the first floor, apartment 3 and 4 are on the upper floor, the apartment 5 is in the attic. You will have your apartment to yourself and will only share it with those you’re traveling with.

You will also have access to a 500 square meter private garden with sitting areas, pergolas, trees and fountains. You will share the garden with the other guests of our house.

To access your apartment you will need to climb stairs. It is a historic building with no elevator.

We are ideally located to explore the Dolomites mountains, for example in Val Gardena or Val di Funes. We are also not far away from the popular towns of Bolzano and Bressanone and other hot spots of the region.

The village is small but cosy, peaceful and quite, but at the same time not far from the highway juncture.

We are lucky to have a range of great restaurants within walking distance.

We provide outdoor parking - free of charge.

It is possible but not very convenient to arrive with public transport.

POLICIES & HOUSE RULES

  • Not suitable for pets

  • No smoking

  • No parties or events

  • Please be respectful towards other guests

  • Please keep quiet, especially during night hours

  • Please do not place hot pans on the kitchen surface. The surface is not heat resistant.

  • Please do not remove shampoo, body wash, cream or detergent bottles, even if they are empty. All bottles are refillable and will thus need to be paid in case they are missing.

  • Guests are expected to take care of the apartment. It is not expected that guests clean the apartment upon departure. It is expected that guest do not leave dirty dishes.

  • We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guests to the property or structure.

  • There will not be the possibility to install extra beds. There are no sofa beds. The apartments are conceived as a premium accommodation for two. It is possible to bring small kids free of charge if they sleep in the parent’s bed or travel cradle.

ABOUT THE AREA
